- As an Auditor, you may attend one class per semester and enjoy learning without having to complete course work or take examinations. You pay a $400 fee. No academic credit is given.
- Local ministers, whom we call Ministers-in-Vicinity, may audit up to one class per semester at the reduced rate of $200. If you are engaged in full-time professional ministry in a church setting in the greater Boston area, you are eligible. Minister-in-Vicinity status allows you to reconnect with current trends, ideas, and conversations affecting your ministry.
- Special Students may earn academic credit without enrolling in a degree program. Regular tuition applies and up to 15 credit hours may be taken. Should you later enroll in a degree program, the credits you earn will count toward your degree. Special Students may cross-register at other BTI schools, as long as they take one course at Weston Jesuit. If you are investigating theological study, completing prerequisites before applying for a degree, or want to explore a particular subject without the structure of a degree program, Special Student status may be right for you.
Auditors, Minister-in-Vicinity, and Special Students - unless full time Special Student - do not have a faculty advisor.
VISITING SCHOLARS
The rich resources of our library and the libraries of the other schools of the Boston Theological Institute and the opportunity to interact with our faculty make Weston Jesuit an attractive place for scholars to carry out their research projects. Scholars holding an earned doctorate in theology or in an allied field should see our admissions process for more information.
