Non-Degree Admissions Requirements
All applicants should manifest religious commitment, self-reliance, resourcefulness, personal maturity, and integrity. Additionally, all applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree.

REQUIRED ADMISSIONS DOCUMENTATION FOR:
CREDIT SEEKING APPLICANTS

All applicants seeking admission as special students or to one of the two certificates must:
  • Complete the Online Application For Non-Degree. Pay the $50 application fee. (Jesuits are exempt)
  • Submit a personal statement - The statement should address: family background, plans for applying your theological education and why you are applying to Weston Jesuit.  
  • Submit transcripts – Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended, including those that did not lead to a degree. All foreign transcripts must be in English, or must be accompanied by an official English translation of the original records. Transcripts must be sealed and mailed directly to the Office of Admissions.
  • Submit recommendations - Register three recommenders using the online application, or download the forms and have your recommenders mail these paper forms to the Admissions Office.
  • If you have not already done so contact the Admissions Office to introduce yourself. Please be aware that we encourage our applicants either to attend a Visit Weston Day or to schedule a campus visit or phone conversation with the Office of Admissions.

NON-CREDIT SEEKING APPLICANTS

All applicants seeking admission as auditors and ministers-in-the-vicinity must furnish:
The Online Application For Non-Degree Applicants; submit a short personal statement as to the reasons for wishing to audit a course at Weston Jesuit and pay the $50 application fee.

REQUIRED ADMISSIONS DOCUMENTATION FOR:
SABBATICAL APPLICANTS

Sabbatical Program applicants must complete the Online Application for Non-Degree Applicants; submit two sabbatical letters of recommendation, and a personal statement describing your ministerial background, and reasons for wishing to take a sabbatical at Weston Jesuit.  Sabbatical applicants do not need to submit official transcripts.

REQUIRED ADMISSIONS DOCUMENTATION FOR:
VISITING SCHOLARS

Applicants who would like to be Visiting Scholars, must write a letter addressed to the Academic Dean and the Director of Admissions, where they give an overview of their background, scholarly interests and specific plans for scholarship, with an enclosed curriculum vitae. Please not that Visiting Scholars must have a Doctorate in Theology

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Non-degree program applicants should complete their application files by the beginning of classes for the semester in which they wish to enroll.  All auditors and ministers-in-the-vicinity must complete an application for admission, before they may attend class. International sabbatical applicants should complete their dossier at least two months prior to the start of classes.
