Commitment to ecumenism is embodied in Weston Jesuit’s mission and in the lives of our students and faculty. A founding member of the Boston Theological Institute (BTI), Weston Jesuit enjoys close ties and cross-registration privileges with eight other schools that represent a wide spectrum of Christian thought. BTI is the largest theological consortium in the world, bringing together the resources of universities and divinity schools throughout the Boston metro area and some of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world.
Weston students enroll in courses that range from “Fundamental Moral Theology” to “United Methodist Polity” and “Interreligious Dialogue: Christians, Jews and Muslims”. Through the BTI, Weston Jesuit students are offered the opportunity to select from more than 500 courses each year, work with over 250 faculty, and access millions of volumes and over 10,000 periodicals from libraries at Harvard, Boston College, and Boston University.
BTI also offers certificate programs that help focus students’ interests in specific concentrations. Certificate programs in Science and Religion, International Mission and Ecumenism, and Youth and Young Adult Ministries are great resources for exploring important issues and competencies. For more information on these programs and the BTI, visit Boston Theological Institute’s website.
