Weston Jesuit School of Theology

The EDS/WJST Library provides information technology and audio-visual services for students, faculty, administration, staff and affiliated patrons of the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. The library’s information technology services include the following:

COMPUTER CENTER

The EDS/WJST Library Computer Center is located on the lower level of the library where nine computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for all members of the Weston Jesuit community. The

computers are networked to a laser printer.

WIRELESS NETWORK ACCESS

The Library provides wireless network access throughout the library and Sherrill Hall classrooms (except for Sherrill 3A) for laptops or hand-held equipment with an 802.11b or 802.11g wireless card. Set the SSID (Network Name) to "library."

DATA PORTS

There are several data ports available for network connections in the library atrium for use with laptops with a network card and network cable (category 5e patch cable).

ACCOUNTS

All students are given WJST email accounts, server file folders, personal login IDs, and related instructions and policies on how to access and use our network during registration. These accounts remain active until the August following graduation, or 30 days after permanent withdrawal from the school. This information and any help the student may require is also available from the Technology Services Librarian.

RESOURCE ACCESS

You may access resources on our network – including email, server file folders, and Library resources, such as the ATLA Religion Database, New Testament Abstracts, and the Catholic Periodicals Index – at the Computer Center, on the wireless network discussed above, from your home computer, or via other remote access, if you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
