Alpha Sigma Nu
Alpha Sigma Nu is the Jesuit Honor Society. The Weston Jesuit chapter is made up of students who achieve high academic standing and are eager to perform service within and beyond the school. Membership is by invitation and includes students who have been elected at other Jesuit colleges and universities as well as those invited at Weston. Alpha Sigma Nu organizes several key events at WJST each year including the Theses in Progress series and an school-wide Town Hall discussion on a topic of concern in the Church. The Weston Jesuit chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu interprets the honor society’s ideals of Competence, Conscience, and Compassion.

Social Justice Forum
The Social Justice Forum provides a monthly opportunity for members of the WJST community to share their reflections on issues of domestic and international social concern. All are invited to attend. Meetings feature distinguished guest speakers from agencies committed to social justice ministry. Past speakers have included: Angelo D’Agostino, S.J., M.D., founder and director of Nyumbani, a hospice for HIV positive orphans in Nairobi, Kenya; Ned Hanauer of the organization “Search for Justice and Equality in Palestine/Israel”; and Frank Brennan, S.J. director of Jesuit Refugee Services in the newly independent nation of East Timor. The faculty moderator is Thomas Massaro, S.J.

Student Forum
The Student Forum provides a clearinghouse for forming and addressing student initiatives and concerns. Representatives are self-selected and meet regularly to address student concerns and organize campus activities. The Student Forum serves as an instrument of communication and collaboration among administration, faculty, staff, and students.
